Partnering with Parents
When God gives instruction in Deuteronomy 6 to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength," He turns to parents and tells them that they are the ones to impress this upon their children. This is a beautiful and challenging call to parents to teach their kids about the goodness of God and the treasure of following Him. Our church wants to help parents in this task, but we can never replace you, nor do we want to.
Our preschool, children's, and youth ministry simply want to echo to children what parents want them to know, namely how to believe like Christians and how to behave like Christians (Ephesians 6:4). Our adult ministry serves to hold up God's standards and equip parents to teach their children. We want parents to be their children's spiritual heroes and we are excited about the opportunity to come along side moms and dads to encourage them. We believe that God will be honored when marriages are healthy and when parents' hearts are turned toward their children (Malachi 4:6).
Family Connection Newsletters
This is a regular newsletter sent out to parents of children whose goal is to keep God's purpose for the family in front of us. In the midst of hectic schedules, often times some of the most important things we are to pursue are lost. This resource will help us keep the main thing the main thing.
