Women's Ministry

Purpose Statement

Our purpose is to equip women toward maturity in Christ, to fellowship with one another, to serve others through our church and evangelical community ministries, and to share Jesus with family, friends, and others.

Keys to Purpose Statement

    • Maturity in Christ immediately brings to mind the need  for Bible and discipleship studies which contribute to each woman's spiritual growth, and in return, touches her family.
  • Fellowship with one another calls for an understanding of how Christians should relate to each other.
  • Service through the church should give a woman the opportunity to discover and use her spiritual gift(s) in ministry and service to meet the needs of individuals in her church and community.
  • Sharing Christ grows out of a woman's personal experience with Jesus and being equipped to share her faith.

Bible Studies

Bible Study is an important part of women's ministries.   The object is to lead others to the Savior: those who know Him and are being transformed into His likeness, and those who have yet to meet Jesus as their personal Savior.

Apples of Gold

A six-week nurturing program for women.  Join other women in this program -- as a mentor or as a learner -- and you'll be blessed as you grow together in your love for God, your family, and others.  An Apples of Gold class is more than a Bible study.  As you meet weekly, mature women mentor younger women through:

> Topical Bible studies based on Titus 2:3-5

> Cooking demonstrations and the sharing of a meal

> Encouragement to be the woman God has called you to be.

Outreach

Women's Outreach Ministry exists for the purpose of helping the church fulfill its mission by providing activities, events and programs which will draw the unreached and/or unchurched women of our community into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and other women.

New Mercies

A Bible Fellowship class designed for women of all ages.  New Mercies meets on Sunday mornings at the 9:30 hour.  This class is taught by Cheryl Davis and co-led by Gayla Holt.

Fellowship

Through various social activities such as parties, teas, and banquets throughout the year, the Women's Fellowship Team seeks to not only build and strengthen friendships among the ladies of our church, but strives to build bridges with those outside our church who are lost or unchurched. In the process of connecting with other ladies, we strive to develop lifelong, loving relationships that will draw every woman closer to Christ.

Special Events

Every year there are additional events which the Women's Ministry participates in. These special events include retreats, conferences, and more. The purpose of these events is to provide focused time for spiritual transformation. One example this past year was a Beth Moore Simulcast Event that our church hosted. This regional event joined women together from all over the United States for a time of retreat, reflection, and renewal.
