Preschool

Welcome to the "Kid's Harbor" of Metro East Baptist Church!   We want you to know that we desire to come alongside parents in teaching preschool-age children about Jesus. Each child will be lovingly cared for by our preschool ministry staff, which is made up of paid staff as well as trained volunteers that are familiar with the needs of infants through Pre-kindergarten-age children.   We serve joyfully, knowing that the preschool ministry is one of the first places beyond the walls of your home where God's love can be shown to your child.   Our goal is for each child to connect with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to connect with others through relationships with other children and the loving adults who care for them, and to connect others with God as we reach out beyond our church body to serve our community.   We feel blessed to have the opportunity to care for your precious children and we are excited to be a part of a growing ministry that impacts the lives of children and their families!   The rewards are eternal.

Our Preschool Ministry Staff works with the Children's Ministry Council to enhance and support the ongoing work of our ministry to the preschool children of Metro East Baptist Church and their families.

The Preschool Ministry of Metro East Baptist Church seeks to complement the church's purpose by partnering with parents in laying the Biblical Foundations necessary for future spiritual growth as each child develops and matures. We are committed to facilitating the spiritual, moral, physical, social and intellectual development of each child. Our goal is for each child to connect with God through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, to connect with others through relationships with other children and the loving adults who care for them, and to connect others with God as we reach out beyond our church body to serve our community.

Sunday School

Each Sunday morning at 9:30 and 11:00 we offer small age-graded classes where children can connect and fellowship with other children while adult workers teach Biblical truths in a fun and nurturing environment.

Extended Session is offered during our 8:00 worship celebration on Sunday mornings for ages birth through pre-kindergarten.

MOPS

MOPS is a fun spiritual-support network of moms who have preschool-age children. The goal of this ministry is to reach and refresh mothers through special speakers, discussion/sharing time, and creative activities. MOPS meets twice a month on Tuesday mornings. Childcare is provided for preschool-age children, and Biblical lessons and activities are planned for children ages 2 and up through a ministry called "Moppets."

Vacation Bible School

Each June Metro East Baptist Church provides a fun week of Bible learning and outreach for all children Pre-K and older. Childcare and activities are provided for children birth through age 3 whose parent is helping with VBS.
