Space - The Final Frontier for Future Generations

One of the resources we have determined necessary for assisting us in impacting our present and future generations with the gospel message is educational space -“common ground” where we partner with parents/families to evangelize, disciple and “do community”.  After spending several years maximizing the space we presently have, to the best of our ability, it has become necessary to provide additional space.  Presently, we are in great demand of space for our preschool area and the most usable “prime real estate” available is the present office suite.  Renovating the offices will provide almost 1200 additional square feet of space, providing adequate preschool educational space for the next two-three years.  The reason our greatest need for space is in the preschool area is because of the nature of preschool space: It needs to be close in proximity to the other preschool rooms, restrooms, and the worship center; plus it needs to be easily securable.  Because of the unique requirements for this age group we need space set aside strictly for preschool age children.

The Property Team, along with the assistance of an advisory team of twelve at large members of our church family, is faithfully working toward the completion of the design and renovation of our current office suite into preschool space, as well as the design and building of an office building.   In order to make this space available the church approved the construction of a new unattached office building that will provide needed space for our growing pastoral and support staff, while freeing up valuable space for our preschoolers.  In addition we will gain three to four adult education spaces that will give us the flexibility to provide necessary room for growth in the other areas of our education ministry.  The construction of this 6000 square foot building began mid July and will hopefully be completed by mid November.  Be prayerfully watching the mail for information on how you can help support this important building renovation and building program so that we can truly provide for the spiritual development for future generations.

A Time to Celebrate

This is an exciting month as we officially pay off the $790,000.00 mortgage on the youth building, which was completed in August of 2003.  This is truly a time to celebrate God's faithfulness and the congregation's commitment in giving.  As we continue to grow, what a great thing to move toward paying off our present debt.  Keep being faithful in your giving and let's just see how God continues to move.
