Kyra's Bio
Hi! I’m so glad you’re here. I recently graduated from Friends University with a degree in Liberal Studies, focusing on elementary education, along with a minor in Christian Spiritual Formation. I’m the oldest of three siblings and am incredibly grateful for my two amazing parents who have always supported and encouraged me.

I never imagined I would end up in ministry, but during my final year of college, God made it very clear that this was where He was calling me. He faithfully opened every door along the way, and I couldn’t be more thankful to serve where He has placed me.

When I’m not at church, you’ll probably find me working out, trying out new coffee shops, or watching sports. I’m passionate about people, faith, and walking alongside others as we grow together in Christ, and I’m excited to be part of what God is doing here.

Jodi's Bio
Hi, I’m Jodi and I love being a part of this church family. I’ve been attending for five years now, and this community has truly become home to me.

I’m married to my wonderful husband, Justin, and together we’re blessed with three sons and amazing daughters-in-law. My greatest joy is being “Grammy” to my five beautiful grandchildren—they light up my life in the sweetest ways.

I love serving others however I can, whether that’s through a warm meal, a welcoming space, or simply being present for someone who needs encouragement. Decorating and cooking are some of my favorite ways to bring people together, and I’m thankful for every opportunity God gives me to share those gifts.

I’m excited to continue growing, serving, and loving alongside this church family, and I’m so thankful to be on this journey with you.

Kalista's Bio
Hi! I’m Kalista, and I’m so excited to serve as the Children’s Ministry Associate for K–5 at Metro East. I joined the team in April of 2025, and it’s been such a joy getting to know all the kids and families here.

My husband and I both grew up in Kansas, and life has taken us on quite the adventure together. For six years, we lived in California for my husband’s job, exploring the coastline and valleys. We traveled frequently to Seattle, which quickly became one of my favorite cities—Go Seahawks! I still feel a little out of place surrounded by all the red and yellow in Chiefs country. I love seeing Kansas from a bird’s-eye view, a gift I’m so thankful for as my husband is a pilot.

I grew up on a farm with a horse and goats and was active in 4-H, experiences that taught me responsibility, patience, and the joy of caring for God’s creation. Watching the patience animals show toward children sparked my love for connecting the two, and I love seeing God’s patience reflected in both. Over the years, I’ve also served in youth ministry, worked with the homeless community, and supported children with special needs—experiences that continue to shape how I guide, teach, and encourage the kids I serve.

I’m grateful every day to serve the children of Metro East and to be part of this vibrant community. I can’t wait to get to know you and your family!

Stevie's Bio
Hi! I’m Stevie, and I’m so grateful to be part of the Metro East family. I’ve been attending since 2017—originally determined not to be a worship leader again—but God had different plans. In 2022 He gently shifted my heart back into worship ministry, and now I serve as Metro East’s Worship Leader (and it looks like you’re all stuck with me!).
I’m a mom to two incredible kiddos, Delaney and Will. Will has Down syndrome, which has made me deeply passionate about advocating for children with special needs and helping create a church environment where every person feels seen, welcomed, and included. That passion plays a huge role in how I approach ministry and community.
I have a bachelor’s degree in Church Ministry with an emphasis in Worship, and I’ve had the joy of leading worship in several churches as well as at women’s conferences, youth events, and other gatherings. Here at Metro East, I also help with creative content—which is one of my new-found favorite parts of serving.
When I’m not at church, you can probably find me chasing our chickens, sipping coffee, working out, or enjoying the outdoors with my kids. My husband, Andrew, is a pilot, so he’s often flying around the world, but we love the adventure that brings to our family.
I’m thankful every day for the chance to lead this church in worship and to be part of what God is doing here. I love this community, and I’m honored to worship alongside you!
